Welcome

The Laboratoire d'Informatique de l'Université du Maine (LIUM - EA 4023) was created twenty-five years ago. It gathers most teacher-researchers in computer science of the University of Maine. It is directed by Yannick Estève and it is composed of 20 teacher-researchers and 13 PhD. LIUM is composed of two research teams:

  • a team working on Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL), which includes nine permanent researchers (professors and associate professors), with Dr Sébastien Iksal at its head;
  • a team specializing in automatic speech recognition and machine translation (Language and Speech Technology — LST), with eleven permanent researchers under the direction of Prof. Paul Deléglise.
